Minimum Requirements
• Grade 10
• Must be able to read and write English with the ability to do basic calculations.
• Medically fit
• Reliable
• Work in a safe manner i.e. Ensure all safety requirements are adhered too
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Clean criminal record
• Must have own reliable transport to and from work

Duties & Responsibilities
• Able to carry out all reasonable instructions from Supervisor
• Washing of vehicles
• Offloading off Soya vehicles at siding
• Fuelling of Vehicles
• Loading of vehicles – when required
• General tasks i.e.
• Cleaning oil/Fuel spills on Site /Farms
• Daily cleaning of Workshop/weighbridge area
• General housekeeping of wash bay facility

2. Driver Heavy Vehicle

Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Code 11 and Code 14 Driver who will be based at our Contract. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information on the position.

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12
• Code 14 and Code 11 driver’s license. Valid PDP
• Medically fit
• Five years articulated driving experience
• Defensive driving
• Eaton Fuller gearbox and ZF gearbox driving
• Function and location of vehicle components
• Road Traffic Act (i.e. operating a vehicle)
• Driver actions regarding to weather/road/traffic conditions
• Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
• Vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher
• Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Vehicle loading techniques
• Own reliable transport

Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare vehicle for trip and operate heavy duty vehicles
• Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties
• All other reasonable instructions from Supervisor
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Safe driving record and clean criminal record
• Working with refrigerated/temperature controlled trucks.

3. Checker

Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Checker I to assist in keeping and administration, movement, packing and securing of warehouse goods. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information.

Minimum Requirements
• Matric
• 1 to 2 years supervision of staff
• 2 to 3 years movement, packing and securing of warehouse goods
• 2 to 3 years warehousing / distribution
• 1 to 2 years Warehouse Management Systems
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays work
• Clean criminal record
• Must have own reliable transport to and from
• Computer literate
• Basic excel
• Warehouse management systems

Duties & Responsibilities
• Stock Control
• Dispatch
• Record keeping and administration
• System administration
• Able to carry out all reasonable instructions from Supervisor
• Pre loading inspection of vehicle for cleanliness and check slides closed
• Loading and Sealing of load
• Weighing of vehicles axles to ensure legal compliance
• General tasks i.e. Daily cleaning of weighbridge and loading area General housekeeping of loading facility
• Completion of bin stock documentation

4. Mechanic: Diesel

Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair fuel and chemical trucks/tankers and different types of trucks at the Unitrans Clairwood Depot. Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information.

Minimum Requirements
• Understand preventative maintenance
• Qualified Artisan by way of trade test or 5 year recognized apprentice.
• Valid driver’s license, preferably EC.
• Own transport essential
• Experience in fuel and chemical environment
• Experience in servicing and maintaining fuel and chemical trucks
• Must be prepared to work overtime on a regular basis
• Must be prepared to be on standby to attend to breakdowns and accidents after hours
• Comply and enforce company policies and health & safety legislation
• Ability to work independently
• Problem solving ability

Duties & Responsibilities
• Servicing of company vehicles to predefined checklists
• Attend to breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairs on fuel and chemical trucks
• Apply Health & Safety rules and regulations in all aspects of job
• Ensure vehicles are kept in line with legal requirements and company policies i.e. roadworthy etc.
• Maintain a safe and clean working place at all times
• Administer regular reporting to management regarding breakdowns, services etc
• Perform ancillary duties to the above as determined by management on an ongoing basis
