REQUIREMENTS:
•ABET certificate.
•One (1) to two (2) years of general work experience will be an added advantage.
•Knowledge of general work in handling equipment and devices.
•Working knowledge of various general jobs including lawn care process.
•Know the process and techniques of pruning and pruning.
•Basic knowledge of the use of chemicals (dilution/mixing) •knowledge of chemicals.
•Basic knowledge of daily maintenance procedures for efficient performance of machinery/equipment.
•Basis to support water use and resources strategy.
•Basic knowledge of safety and health procedures.
•Basic knowledge of garden maintenance and planting practices.
•Basic understanding of government legislation.
•Knowledge of the use of brush cutters, submersible pumps, chain hoists and overhead cranes.
•Good communication skills.
•Ability to work under supervision and in a team.
•Must be punctual, productive and loyal.
FUNCTIONS:
•Load and unload tools, materials and equipment daily.
•Assist in the cleaning and repair of the water supply/distribution system (canals, drains, dams, pipes, structures, etc.) during dry periods.
•Assist in cutting and removing grass, brush and trees from all easements as instructed.
•Assist in the repair of all fences as well as the installation of new fences as required.
•Helps mix concrete as needed.
•Assist in the construction of concrete channels as well as the placement of concrete for buildings and structures as required.
•Operate mower and mower as needed.
•Maintain and maintain machinery, equipment, tools and property.
•Help paint the team.
•Assist in the cleaning and repair of mechanical equipment (valves, generators, gearboxes, pipes, etc.)
•Assistance in the construction of metal structures.
•Assist in the cleaning and repair of electrical equipment (electrical panels, electrical cables, lights, electric starters, etc.) requiring the excavation of holes and trenches.
