Assurance:
• Carry out the operational tasks of the fire and rescue services
• Respond to fire rescue emergencies and special services
• Execute orders during incidents in accordance with security procedures
• Report dangerous situations during operational activities
• Assist with cleaning up at the scene of the accident/incident
• Periodic cleaning of vehicles and equipment
• Daily tests of pumps and safety equipment
• Make sure you stay in shape at all times by attending parades, doing physical exercises and exercising
• Help with administrative and ad hoc tasks, such as control room tasks
• Respond to inquiries and inquiries from the public and complete call slips.

Minimum requirements:
•Grade 12
•Firefighter certificate 1 and 2
•BAA or Level III First Aid certification with valid HPPCSA registration
•Hazardous Materials Operations and •Hazardous Materials Awareness
•EC driving license code.
